ABOUT US
The Otago School of Piping
and Drumming was formed in 2005 to recruit
and train new players for the
City of Dunedin Pipe Band. We train players
on the Great Highland Bagpipe, the Snare Drum, the Tenor Drum and the
Bass Drum. For Stage 1 and Stage 2 we teach in class groups.
Stage 2
and above we teach students one-on-one and we encourage all our students
to participate in a band when they have acquired the appropriate skills.
We aim to teach our students the art of piping and drumming to their
highest standard. We instruct students from a beginner
level, through to
competition level, specialising in solo and band performance.
