The
City of Dunedin Pipe Band was formed in 1898, and is the
second oldest band in the southern
hemisphere. Drawing its membership from Balclutha, Roxburgh, and
the greater Dunedin area.
The
band has achieved a perfect unbeaten record in all major South
Island contests and also took the Grade Two title at the 2003
National Contest. For this achievement the band was granted the
freedom of the Dunedin city by the mayor.
In 2007 the band won all the major
contests including taking away the Grade 2 National
Championship.

Development band for juvenile players. |
